Fun in the Snow!!!

Snow angel
How nervous does she look?

Yummmm...snowballs!!!

Tayla & Lexi had so much fun playing in the snow. Tay didn't cry this time, she didn't seem excited either.

My big girl!

Look how she holds her crayon, she is too smart. She only uses her right hand too. She puts the other crayons in her left hand and switchs when she wants a new color. She seems to like green and "boo".

Tayla loves to color, but you have to watch her like a hawk cause she also likes to eat crayons.

Here's Lovey!

May 28, 2007
Tayla was 4 months old in this picture and she is with her 2 favorite things, lovey & her swing, she always had her feet like that. I could never put the tray with toys on because she got made if she couldn't put her feet up! It's funny lovey looks so big in this pic with her now it looks tiny.

Tubby time?!?!

Tayla found her bathtub on the floor in the kitchen (don't ask me why it was there) and decided it makes a nice seat. She then dragged it into the living room and played in it all day. I put it away twice and she threw a fit so I let her have it, this was a battle I felt I didn't need to fight! Plus...I thought it was cute!
Cheese!!!
I don't know why but she has been insisting on bringing her binky & lovey downstairs after she wakes up. I hope it's just because she just got a new tooth and hasn't been feeling too great. I am not crazy about her dragging them around, so I think I am going to have to put an end to it. Usually when she wakes up she has them in her hand but when you point to the crib she drops them in but all week she has been shaking her head no.

Bonkers...again!!!

We took the girls to bonkers this past tuesday, I know it was school vacation but lexi always misses out on coming cause I like to go at 11am during the week. They had so much fun!

Tayla loves to climb all the way to the top and just stand above everyone and watch. There were soo many kids there everytime they walked by her she tried to grab them from the back. I like to think she was giving hugs!!! Lexi was so excited to play in the baby area with tay for about 5 seconds and realized how boring it was!

Five Random Facts

I've been tagged by my cousin Kim, over at the Marique Family blog.
Rules for the “Five Random Facts”:Each player starts with five random facts/habits/stories about themselves. Anything will do. Be creative. The person who is tagged needs to write a post on their own blog (about their five things) and post these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose one person to get tagged and list their name/blog. Don’t forget to leave a comment on their blog telling them they’re tagged and to read your blog.

Here goes nothing...

1. My against the odds baby. First let me say this might be too much info...Around the time Seth and I first got back together I started seeing a new dr and since I have never ovulated regularly and it seemed to be getting worse she sent me to a gyn to make sure nothing was seriously wrong because my old dr never did any tests and she wanted to make sure it wasn't something that would prevent me from having children one day. The did a whole bunch of tests blood, ultrasounds and more blood, they couldn't find anything wrong which is basically good news, but the Dr told me the odds of me getting pregnant on my own were less than 2%. He said we would need fertility drugs. Well needless to say I was very upset. Seth was so nice about it he said whatever I wanted to do when the time came he would help me. Since we just got back together we decided to wait and see and whatever happened, happened. Well 2 and a half years later I went to the drs cause you guessed it I hadn't ovulated in 7 months and the dr decided to put me on a med to make me get it, but for some reason I was very apprehensive so I took the prescription home and waited a week or so then I looked the medicine up online and it said it was very dangerous if you were pregnant. So before I started it I called my dr and asked her to do one last pregnancy test just to be sure so I could start the medicine. I really didn't think I was (but looking back I had some symptoms). Anyway it was a friday morning and I went to the health center where I used to work in EB and had the test done and called my friend for the results when I got home and she said it's negative and then she said wait you better sit down, it's positive-they just changed it, so she had them run it again and it was a weak positive. I ran to walgreens and bumped into Krissy and Lexi I started crying and told them, they were sooo excited. Alexis was yelling and jumping up and down. I bought 2 tests cause I had to see for myself, I just couldn't believe it we waited soo long. I waited to tell seth untill I saw him and I cried again...he said this is great why are you crying and I had no idea but I couldn't stop. It turned out I was only 2 and 1/2 weeks pregnant.
2. My favorite snack is bananas with chocolate syrup all over them. I absolutely love it and have already introduced it to Tayla...not a great idea cause now I have to share. It's so funny she gets all hopped up on syrup and runs around like crazy!
3. I was a Hooters girl. A very very long time ago I worked at Hooters in Boston for about 6 months. It was actually the most fun I ever had at a job...not to mention the money. (If anyone ever tells my daughter I will hunt you down!). Seth and I weren't together at the time and he came in to see me once. He hated me working there and will not talk about it to this day. Actually Kim, I don't know if he told you but Jeff came in with a friend from work once and the look on his face when he saw me was priceless. He spent the whole time there trying to convince me to quit.
4. I love Sudoku puzzles & gossip. I make seth buy me OK magazine every week so I can get my fix (can we say intervention). I read my magazine and do my puzzle that night no matter how long it takes me and no matter how early I have to get up the next morning!
5. This may sound mean especially since I already went on and on about how long it took to get pregnant but I hated being preg. and I don't think it was all that fond of me either. It was def worth it and I will do it again (just 1 time) but it was horrible except for maybe 2 months. You see I threw up every day for 16 weeks, had to go to the hospital twice for dehydration and then I had a muscle spasm in my back for 6 or so weeks, when I went for my 20 week u/s they told us (in the scariest possible way) the my amniotic fluid was low and so I had to have another u/s the next week (which showed everything was ok but my fluid was on the low side of normal) and had to have u/s's once a month for the rest of the preg (at least I got to see her grow that was amazing), but I was always worried that it would go back down cause they didn't know why it was low so it could happen again. Then I felt good for a few months and enjoyed feeling her move inside of me(when she wasn't kicking me in the ribs of coarse which is where she liked to wedge her feet). Then I started swelling (as everyone who came to my baby shower can atest to) and I started getting dizzy and light headed...my blood pressure was going up so I had to go to the drs and get checked every 2 weeks until one visit when I was 36 weeks they told me my protien in my urine was way too high and we had to go to the hospital and I had to go on bedrest and try to wait till 37 weeks to deliver, which I was able to do. So she was born at 37 weeks and was perfect, but her temp was a little low so they took her right away to put her under the warmers and then a couple of days later she got jaundiced so she had to go under the lights and again on the day we were supposed to take her home so she had to stay an extra day. I can honestly say the hardest part of it all was having her strapped to the light board and not be able to hold her and then having to leave her there. The worst feeling in the world is leaving the hospital without your baby. Not that I really left, we stayed till 6pm the got a room at the hotel around the corner and I went back to breast feed her every 3 hours. It was funny I had a c-section so I couldn't walk very well so they let us take the wheelchair and seth bundled me all up and pushed me back and forth in the snow. He was soo tired in the middle of the night I told him to stay at the hotel and I hobbled back and forth by myself, I must have looked so pitiful when I walked back in the doors of mgh the security guy at the door asked if I needed to be wheeled upstairs and all I could think was I hope he doesn't think I'm still pregnant! Tayla was lucky she got to come home early the next afternoon and we were sooo excited.

Well that's it...sorry it was so long. Krissy your up!!! Check out the Izzo-Mackay blog!

Mama's night out!!

Alicia & Me...Scorpian bowl anyone?!?!
Tamieka, Alicia, Me & Mike (pic taken by Lisa P)
Sat night I went out to Kowloons with a few friends from high school, they have been after me to go out with them for a year now. So they planned this a month and a half ago so I wouldn't have any excuses. It's not that I didn't want to go I just hate leaving the baby. Anyway I am glad I went we had so much fun catching up. The only one I still talk to is Alicia, she was one of my best friends in hs. Tayla loves her Auntie Alicia. The food and drinks were great, but we had to wait 45 min for a table...crazy.

Bonkers

Hey everyone...just wanted to let everyone know in case anyone is free, krissy and I are taking the girls to bonkers tomorrow. If anyone wants to come just let me know. If not i'll put new pix on tomorrow night! -Lisa

Random act of cuteness

Tayla and her tutu. She was pushing the baby carriage in this outfit too. She loves her tutu, she hands it to me then picks her foot up to put it on. It's so cute she helps get herself dressed now. She likes to put her jacket on.

Lil Mama giving the baby a baba.

Tayla loves playing with the baby. She feeds the baby, gives her a binky (takes a turn first), takes her for a walk and puts her down for a nap. I just think it's adorable.

In Lexi's shoes

I'm not really sure what this is but she does it all the time lately.

Tayla found Lexi's shoes the other day and got them on all by herself, actually she got 1 on backwards and gave me the other. As soon as I put them on she was running back and forth so excited for 2 hours. She wouldn't take them off, finally we had to hide them from her. Anything to be like Alexis!!!

Cocco puffs...with cheese?!?!?

CHEESE!!!

I was eating Cocco puffs and tayla asked for some so I gave her a few...well she was hooked. She ended up eating half the bowl. At first she just had chocolate around her mouth but then I made the mistake of bending down to pick up the sippy cup she threw and when i sat up this is what she looked like, the chocolate was all the way up into her hair...needless to say I think throwing the sippy cup was part of the plan, cause she was sooo proud of herself (I know this cause as soon as I looked at her she did cheesy face!).

Cheesy face!!

This is Tayla's new face the cheesy face. If you say cheese she puts her head up and does it. I know its goofy but we think it's adorable! I love this kid!! The other day she was being fresh and trying to steal the cheerios box and I looked up at her and she gave me this face and made me laugh out loud. It's like she knew how to get out of trouble!!

Freshness...

Spider tayla

Can you stand the freshness?!?!
I told you she thinks she can do anything she wants now, it only took her about 5 seconds to figure out how to get up there.

Fishy Face!!

Tayla learned how to do this by accident but wouldn't stop for a half an hour, probably because me and lexi were laughing our butts off. She was drinking from an open cup and playing with the water in her mouth. We thought is was cute!

Alexis even got in on it!

Bonkers 1/31/08

I took tay to bonkers for lunch and some run around time, we had so much fun!

Once tay found these balls she would not let them go, she carried them up then threw them down over and over. Earlier she was playing with a cute set of twin girls, she just kept following them around and trying to hug them.

She won't go over, but last time she wouldn't go near it at all so I guess she's growing. She also didn't like the slide last time it scared the crap out of her, but it made her laugh this time!
