I did it!

I can't believe how fast tayla is growing up, well really just how independent and stubborn she is getting. Seth says she gets it from me (he must be confused)ha ha. She wants to do everything all by herself now. My new years resolution was to stop being the over protective new mommy. She can actually do a lot more than I have been giving her credit for. If you try to help her do something she just screams ididit, ididit (yes it's all one word). She also points to things and says this or wasthis. She still won't ask for a baba though she will either go to the gate to the kitchen and yell or find an old baba or sippy cup and give it to me, then walk to the gate. Yes I know she isn't supposed to have a baba anymore, I really tried but she will not drink her milk from a cup. She wouldn't drink the milk at all at first so we had to mix it with the formula until it was all milk (gross I know). Now she loves milk she is drinking almost half a gallon a day. I tried to just give it in a cup but she is stubborn and ended up going 8 hours without drinking so I caved. We bought 2 sets of new sippy cups she just won't have it. She likes the new cups they have straws but she only wants water in them. She is also pretty good at feeding herself with a spoon, she just took it and knew what to do. I was kinda shocked, but very impressed.

In other news...we are finally getting our own place. I am so excited. We are planning to move in April, when the weather gets a little nicer. Tayla is in our room now but definitely going to have her own room. I am excited but sad too, I'll miss her. Seth says I'm crazy. Hopefully she'll start sleeping past 5:30a. That's when seth's alarm goes off. She is actually our alarm clock now cause she wakes up 5 minutes before it goes off.

I am One!!

Tayla had a cold the day of her pictures but she did so good, she is a ham in front of the camera. We were in and out of there in 15 minutes. She smiled right away and for every picture. I kinda wish I waited to take her though cause I think her eyes look puffy, it happens everytime she's sick. I was gonna have them redone but everybody likes them. Let me know what you think. She wouldn't stop eating the letters, the photog laughed at me when I took out my baby wipes and cleaned them before I let her touch them! We have spent so much money of prof pics this year from now on it's one time a year. (This was the 4th time). I always intend to just get a few but then I love them all it's so hard to choose.

Tayla had so much fun at her Birthday party, playing with all of her cousins. They were all so nice and helpful to her. Especially when she fell there was always 2 or 3 of them trying to help her up (not that she lets anyone help her anymore). I think she went around and hugged and kissed them all. We are so glad that so many people came and helped her celebrate her special day. We hope everyone had fun!!!

p.s. I loved seeing her playing with all of the kids, I hope we can get them together more often.

Tayla's 1st Birthday!!!

My baby is 1 today...I can't believe it! I am not gonna lie this has been the longest, hardest yet happiest and most rewarding year of my life. It's so funny I have been so excited all day (i know it's only 10am but we've been up since 5a). I hung banners everywhere and had a present waiting for her when she woke up. She was excited to see a present and dug right in but she didn't know what to make of the banners she just kept pointing to them, then one fell and got stuck to her foot and she was dragging it behind her, it was very cute. She has no idea what is going on and every time I say or sing happy birthday to her (again I'm not gonna lie, it's been a lot) she just looks at me like I'm crazy!!! I am going to put pics on later, we are getting ready to take her to bonkers!!! We are looking forward to her party on Sat., Tayla is going to love playing with all her cousins.

Tayla's 1st Christmas 2007 !!!

Tayla was so excited to see all of the presents christmas morning, of coarse she kept grabbing lexi's (i swear she knew). She started opening presents at 5:30, opened a couple then waited for lexi to wake up to do the rest. She opened a ton of presents before she got bored and had to take a break before she would touch another one. She loves all of her new toys but just threw the cloths behind her.


This was her favorite present...thank you Santa!!!

This was right before bedtime which she was sooo ready for, it was a very long day, but lots of fun.

Snowbunnies!!!

This was Tayla's 1st time in the snow, Lexi was trying to get her to eat the snow but she didn't really know what to make of it. This was actually how she landed when I stood her up she couldn't even move in her snowsuit! She was ok at first kind of just looking around watching lexi play with the little boy that lives next door then she fell face first got her face wet and freaked out, she was all done, it took me longer to get her dressed!!! I did get some cute pics though!!
This lasted about 5 seconds the she fell flat on her back and kind of just stared up at the sky!!

Tayla loves stories she picks through her basket to find a book she likes and walks over with it in her hand and sits on your lap. She usually only listens to a few pages but she loves the feel and learn books, she just keeps going through them turning the pages and touching the right spots. This is one of her favorite books we read it every day!!
